RESPONSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS:

a. Respect and honor our nationality and national symbols.

b. Respect, honor and obey the teachers and professors.

c. Attend classes daily and on time, and maintain acceptable hygiene and grooming.

d. Perform the tasks, jobs and activities assigned by professors and teachers and deliver them on time. As well as other activities that the school deems necessary.

e. Attending public events that take place on campus.

f. Cooperation in order to maintain in perfect condition the furniture, equipment and teaching aids.

g. Be respectful to administrative staff, teachers and maintenance, and obey those directions that correspond to the smooth running of the institution. Whenever their orders do not violate your rights and guarantees.

h. Respect the rights and guarantees of fellow students, respect their parents and guardians.

 • All students must wear their respective uniforms.

• The PE uniform consists of: Green sweatpants, white shirt and white shoes.

i. Respect the diversity of thought, religion and culture of the other members of the educational community.

j. Inform the authorities of any act which is contrary to normal development activities.

k. Do not interrupt or disrupt the normal functioning of school activities.

l. Do not leave campus during school hours and talk with people outside the institution.

m. Respect and care for school supplies for your peers.

n. Respect morals and customs by using appropriate language.

o. Do not engage in acts that disturb or endanger the discipline of the campus.

p. Exercise and actively defend your rights and duties.

q. Obey, respect and fulfill faithfully the rules of school.

 RIGHTS OF STUDENTS

Students enjoy the rights for the protection of children and adolescents, the national constitution ofHondurasand other regulations referred to in the legal system.

a. Receive an education consistent with the general education programs inHonduras, established by law, and specific and diversified basic education.

b. Reserve freedom of speech within an educational context.

c. Right to be treated with respect and fairness

d. Use furniture, teaching aids and other elements according to its intended purposes and objectives set by the institute.

e. Receive from managers, teachers, administrators and junior students and other campus members proper treatment as a student should be treated.

f. Being part of the youth and sports organizations that operates on campus.

g. Seek guidance and advice from faculty to be properly advised.

 IS PROHIBITED WITHIN THE CAMPUS

a. Insults, physical force against others, bullying.

b. Smoking, drinking alcohol or other substances on campus.

c. Failure to respect the legally constituted authorities and institutions.

d. Participate in acts of public disorder.

e. Bring hats and sweaters of different colors than the uniform.

f. Bring valuables (Discman, recorders, PDAs, gold jewelry, electronic games, among others.)

g. Bringing sharp objects – sharp (razors, scissors, knives, nail clippers, etc.).

 TYPES OF FAULTS

 MINOR FAULTS: Students incur minor offenses in the following cases:

a) Failure to comply with all the homework, tests, and in class activities.

b) Failure to attend school activities in the school with equipment and supplies needed for them, except in cases where this is impossible for reasons duly justified and verified.

c) Did not wear the school uniform as stated in the rules of procedure established in the school, except in cases where it is impossible for reasons duly justified and proven

d) Disrespecting the rules that go against morality and decency.

e) The use of bad language.

f) Did not cooperate in the conservation, cleaning and maintenance within the limits of their responsibilities, the school grounds, furniture and other materials from the school, especially their classroom.

 CORRECTING A MINOR FAULT:

• Correction or Warning is a call for the individual or group that students fail to perform an act or omission. This warning must be recorded in writing.

• Verbal Warning: Call individualized personal attention, in an educational, rational manner and devoid of any act or omission of the pupil.

• Written warning and record of student engagement with teacher’s presence and signature of the parent, or responsible guardian: A meeting will be held with individualized personal attention in an educational, rational manner and devoid of any act or omission of the pupil which includes a statement that is a formal commitment to refrain from engaging again in the act or omission.

• Statement of the student (a) along with their parents and guardians: A meeting held between the student (a), its guardian and responsible parents, teachers or guidance teachers to address an educational and rational behavior of pupil and reach joint commitments to strengthen the respect of their duties and rights of others.

• Rules of Conduct for a defined period: The agreement entered into or assumed by the student with the teacher for a specified time, the obligations prohibitions to regulate the way they act within the school, specifically in the classroom.

 * FAULTS: Students incur serious misconduct in the following cases as provided in Honduran Law.

 IT IS CONSIDERED A SERIOUS PUNISHABLE OFFENSE WHEN:

a) A disciplinary problem obstructs or interferes with the normal development of school activities.

b) Committing violent acts or remarks against any member of the educational community, or the faculty, staff or worker of the campus.

c) Cause serious disorders during any test or participate in actions that compromise their effectiveness.

d) Damage or destroy the premises, endowments and other property of the school.

e) Disrespecting someone or treating other people, in public or private, humiliatingly, offensive or contrary to their dignity as human beings.

f) Attend or be within the school under the influence of alcohol, narcotic or psychotropic substances.

g) Repeated misconduct and acts contrary to good customs and public order.

h) The unexcused absence to class.

 MEASURES TO SANCTIONS OR FAULTS:

            Serious offenses will be penalized according to severity.

a) Temporary suspension of the school, administered by the disciplinary council, which will have to define the time of suspension and the seriousness of the offense

b) Expulsion from school for up to one (1) year or terminally, applied by the disciplinary council

 DUTIES OF TEACHERS

Teachers have the following duties:

a. Teachers have the duty to promote comprehensive education.

b. Treat all students with fairness, respect and equality.

c. Have a duty to jointly develop projects with students in the classroom.

d. They have a duty to plan, organize and evaluate the educational process of students.

e. Meet parents and guardians, board of teachers, special and extraordinary activities, except in cases where their absence is for good reason.

f. Must comply fully with the workload for each subject.

g. Must comply with the guidlines set by the campus administration (start times, recess and exit.)

h. They must maintain order and discipline within the classroom and beyond.

i. It is the duty of teachers to attend classes punctually.

j. In case of absence the teacher is obliged to notify in advance and to seek an alternate to fulfill the workload.

 RIGHTS OF TEACHERS

Teachers have the following rights:

a. They are entitled to fair treatment and respect for the entire school community.

b. Entitled to work in a friendly atmosphere and meet the conditions for the development of their work.

c. They have the right to use existing educational materials on campus, and update their knowledge through workshops and other courses, provided they do not affect the normal development of activities with students.

d. Teachers have the right to guide and correct students for bad conduct.

 PERSONAL DUTIES OF DIRECTORS:

The Director(s) has the following duties:

a) Plan, organize, manage, direct and control all matters concerning the organizational structure of the institution in accordance with educational guidelines and policies mandated by Honduran Law.

b) Creating spaces for constructing and evaluating school, with all advisors in the educational community.

c) Define the rules of school life along with the rest of the other members in the educational community and supervisors.

d) The Directors have the autonomy to implement and enforce school policies with regard to all people that make up the educational community (students, teachers, administrative workers, supervisors, parents, representatives or guardians)

e) The Directors will comply with and enforce appropriate legal order applicable in the education sector.

f) The Directors have a duty to provide guidelines and administrative and disciplinary teaching guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education.

g) To promote the practice of learning based on the principles and values ​​of citizen participation.

h) To promote spaces for consultation and establishment of educational projects, in order to balance school life and other projects in the cultural, environmental and sports from the school.

i) Coordinate with the interdisciplinary staff of the school and community.

j) To call a meeting for all staff (1) once a month, the Councils of Teachers in order to assist you in fulfilling its functions and reflect on the educational situation of the campus

 PERSONAL RIGHTS OF DIRECTORS:

The Personnel Board has the following rights:

a) The Director is the first authority on campus.

b) Senior management has the right to enjoy a work environment that meets the minimum conditions necessary for the development of their work.

c) Senior management has the right to receive fair treatment and respect for human dignity and status by all the people who make up the educational community (students, teachers, administrative workers, supervisors, parents or guardians).

d) Senior management has the right to represent the school whether in public or private.

 DUTIES OF PARENTAL GUARDIANS:

Parents and guardians have the following duties:

a) The parents have a duty to timely enroll their students in school.

b) The parents have a duty of the development and education of their children.

c) Parents and guardians should be vigilant of the students progress throughout the school year.

d) The parents have a duty to provide their children with materials, school supplies, and school uniforms that comply with school mandates.

e) The parents have a duty to respect the rights of people within the educational community where their children receive an education.

f) Parents and guardians have a duty to protect their children in health.

g) Parents and guardians have a duty to promptly pay tuition.

 RIGHTS OF PARENTS or GUARDIANS:

Parents and guardians have the following rights:

a) Right to participate in the Development of School Rules

b) Right to be informed and to participate freely, actively and fully in the educational process of their student.

c) The right to prompt and timely attention from the school to their suggestions related to the educational processes of their children.

d) The parents are entitled to free access to facilities on campus. As long as it is necessary and warranted.

 ADMINISTRATION AND DUTIES OF WORKER:

The administrative staff and workers have the following duties:

a) Comply promptly with your work schedule to ensure the development of school activities.

b) To maintain relations of respect, consideration and fair treatment to all members of the educational community.

c) To comply fully with the assigned tasks or activities, in order to optimize the processes of administrative and daily tasks in the cleaning and neatness of the institution.

d) Ensure that the assets of the institution are not compromised in any way.

e) Administrative staff members and workers must comply with the provisions of the school.

 ADMINISTRATION AND RIGHTS OF WORKERS:

The administrative staff and workers have the following rights:

a) Receive considerate and respectful treatment from all people within the educational community of the institution.

b) The administrative staff and workers have the right to enjoy a work environment that meets the minimum conditions necessary for the development of their work.

c) The administrative staff and workers have the right to petition the board of the institution on any information and documentation for administrative, legal, business or personal purposes.

 RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMUNITY:

a) The community in general has the right and duty to represent the collective educational system.

b) The wider community of the school environment may contribute to momentum building, development and evaluation of projects pertaining to school-community in order to contribute to strengthening relations between the School and the Community.
